Job Summary:
The RNClinician Oncology Triage is a licensed professional who provides evidencebased care to adult and geriatric patients during all phases of their oncology treatment. This RN works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide patient centered care utilizing an indepth knowledge of oncology disease states treatment and critical thinking skills. The RNClinician Oncology Triage will provide nursing assessments prioritize treatments according to the urgency of need and initiate medical advice/care to patients that call in to the triage line for support for the patients cancer care. This RN will followup with patients after they have called the triage line to make sure that adequate care was given. The RN will communicate to clinic treatment areas on patient care for symptoms management urgent issues and concerns. RNClinician Oncology Triage will also help set up appointments to ensure continuity of care.
