Our growing team of aviation specialists provides support to our clients in the areas of aerodrome design project management and construction maintenance technical inspections and aerodrome surveys operational readiness airport security training regulatory compliance audits and ongoing daily operations.
About the Role
AMS has an exciting fulltime opportunity for a Technical Services Manager to join our team at our head office located at Perth Airport. The Technical Services Team deliver a range of Airside Aerodrome solutions from runway pavement and lighting design to full aerodrome design on greenfield sites. The Technical Services Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various technical and operational functions within AMS including:
Engineering
Design
Electrical Systems and Infrastructure
Project Delivery
Reporting to the CEO you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Technical Services Department. This opportunity will suit someone with management experience in the aviation industry or someone with experience leading a diverse team of professionals in a growth environment. Regular responsibilities include:
Assist the CEO in the development implementation and management of both short and longterm business strategies
Collaborate with department leads to develop implement and manage their strategic plans in line with broader business objectives
Foster a culture of innovation within the team and encourage the exploration of new technologies and design methods to enhance service delivery
Facilitate department meetings and collate comprehensive monthly reports for the CEO on performance metrics and service delivery
Ensure seamless project delivery through the coordination of schedules and resources as well as appropriate risk mitigation strategies
Support the bidding process for major projects and tenders
Engage customers to ensure service delivery and to develop relationships
About You
AMS will provide ongoing training and professional development to support this next step in your career but youll already be off to a great start if you have a blend of relevant technical and leadership experience as well as:
Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on coaching and performance improvement
Project management experience with exposure to cost modelling and workflow optimisation
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of working effectively with a variety of stakeholders
Demonstrated commercial acumen and financial literacy
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Tertiary qualification commensurate with position
