Responsibilities
- Manage the overall operation of the store to include hiring training coaching conducting performance reviews and taking appropriate corrective and disciplinary action with employees as needed.
- Ensure all customers receive excellent service including quick tactful handling of complaints.
- Ensure that sales are generated at the highest practical level. Direct store marketing activities and promotion programs to increase sales and market share.
- Reconcile purchase orders with delivery invoices in order to maintain the flow of inventory.
- Ensure monthly and annual performance objectives as set by the business unit management are met for the store and the employees.
- Interact with vendors and maintain proper inventory levels to fulfill customer needs and wants within company guidelines.
- Ensure buildings equipment and grounds are clean and inviting as well as properly stocking and rotating merchandise.
- Oversee and ensure all corporate policy local state and federal government regulations are adhered to and required compliance documentation is complete.
- Monitor cashier vendor and customer activity to discern theft or dishonesty.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED
- 4 years of experience in Retail and/or Retail Merchandising and Customer Service
- Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office suite

- High level product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: convenience store products livestock or equine products lawn and garden supplies hardware fencing pet feed and supplies or any related retail knowledge preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand squat bend and lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly
