Allied is looking for aProperty Accountantto join our CPA Preapproved Program.
At Allied everything starts with purpose. In the role of Property Accountant you will manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of commercial properties. This in turn allows Allied to make financial decisions that benefit our communities with accuracy and efficiency.

What will you do
- Manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of properties including preparing journal entries monthly operating costs and tax recovery estimates.
- Review and analyze financial statements balance sheets and recovery ratios to provide variance analysis.
- Prepare final annual operating costs and tax recovery adjustments including preparing CAM audit statements and assisting with property tax appeals.
- Provide information for audit related queries and property appraisers and ensure that monthly reporting deadlines are met.
- Support our Finance team in the completion of annual budget and special projects.
What are we looking for
- Active pursuit of the CPA designation.
- University degree or equivalent.
- Strong interest in the field of commercial real estate accounting & finance.
- An assertive selfstarter with the ability to work independently or under supervision.
- A collaborative worker and effective team player.
- Good judgment and decisionmaking skills.
- Resilience passion and a commitment to deliver and be accountable for the results.
- Analytical and critical thinker.
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Bilingual (French and English) would be an asset
