$35000 $42875; commensurate with experience
Job Summary/Basic Function
Work performed in a variety of skilled maintenance tasks including carpentry painting plumbing electrical masonry and other related work as required. Work is performed under general supervision and reports to the Assistant Director Housing Facilities.
Knowledge:
Methods materials and procedures used in general repair and maintenance work.
Occupational hazards safety precautions and OSHA standards.
Machines tools and equipment used in a variety of tasks as required.
Abilities:
To follow oral and written instructions.
To use clean repair and maintain equipment tools and machinery required in accomplishing tasks.
To evaluate situations and make decisions.
To establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the students public and other employees.
To maintain an open line of communication with students public and other employees.
To work independently when needed.
Required Education
High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.
Required Related Experience
One 1 year of maintenance experience in building and/or plant maintenance involving a variety of work such as carpentry painting plumbing and masonry required or completion of a standard apprenticeship in carpentry plumbing or electrical required.
