Job Description
The K2 Facilitator is expected to possess a strong command of elementary curriculum and apply expertise in the following areas within the school district:
- Explore and apply new instructional models
- Provide training to teachers both in group settings and individually
- Demonstrate research/evidenced based strategies in the classroom
- Offer consultation and advice to teachers on classroom performance
- Collaborate with the facilitator team to plan train and implement districtlevel curriculum and professional development
- Work with principals on curriculum and classroom instruction matters
- Utilize data to make informed decisions regarding district/school needs and instructional practices
- Familiarity with progress monitoring and the RTI process
- Assist teachers in the PLC process
- Support teachers with lesson planning
- Model instructional techniques and expectations
- Mentor and coach new teachers in developing classroom strategies and best practices
- Assist and advise in the development of elementary curriculum
