Job Description
Overview
28 hours per week
Performs diagnostic radiological exams and procedures independently and may supervise new hires and student technologists from area colleges.
Responsibilities
- Administers all steps of the XRay with the patient: Preexam processing performing the exam and postexam documentation.
- Maintains cleanliness of all rooms machines and cassettes in the department.
- Maintains supply inventory.
- Performs exams in diagnostic xray fluoroscopy ambuatory surgery center and dexa.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved allied health program specific to the modality employed.
- Must be able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be proficient in the use of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) Transport and/or other computer systems unique to the specific imaging section.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiologic Technologist Radiography (RT R). Professional registry for modality employed is required.
- BLS required within 30 days.
- Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
