As a Physical Therapist heres a bigpicture view of what youll do:
- Provide physical therapy to patients who have lost mobility strength or functionality in facilities such as nursing homes rehab centers assisted living facilities clinics and hospitals and patient homes
- Work with a team of physicians nurses CNAs OTs and SLPs to provide excellent patient care
- Assist physician in evaluation of patient function and performance as well as equipment needs
- Conduct assessments document progress and determine if therapy services should be modified
- Assist patient with exercises and handson therapy to manage pain and increase mobility
- Educate patients and family on established goals exercises and selfcare to ensure progress
A few musthaves for Physical Therapists:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Program and active PT license in Colorado
- Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience in a medical facility or home health
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR or willing to obtain upon hire (demonstration course required)
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Pass a background check and drug test (we are required to test for THC)
- Good clinical judgement strong interpersonal skills dexterity and compassion
