Job Description and Responsibilities
You will pick copper off a moving conveyor removes plastic and rubber cleans around the mill you will also assist shredder mechanics in changing out conveyors bearing shafts and greasing.
Keeps work area clean and ready to go daily
Keeps conveyor pulleys clean
Picks only copper and ASR to ensure that quality material is shipped to our customers
Reports any issues that arise immediately
Assists shredder mechanics during projects
Assists in meeting monthly production goals
Requirements
Completion of High School and/or equivalent
Able to meet the physical demands of the position including standing walking sitting climbing crawling kneeling bending moderate to heavy lifting and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds throughout the day
Willing and able to work in variable weather conditions including hot dry summer conditions and cold harsh winter conditions
Willing and able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in dust odors fumes and noise
Ability to learn and follow direction
Mechanically inclined
Selfmotivated: Initiates and takes action before being required to do so
Strong work ethic: uses time efficiently work safely and making sure everyone around him are working safely
Strong command of the English language both written and spoken
