Our client a worldleader in life sciences and diagnostics is looking for a Clinical LabScientist I based out of Tucson AZ.
Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)
Responsible forperforming high complexity laboratory testing on clinical specimensinterpreting and reporting results and complying with study protocols Standarrating Procedures Test Instructions and related CAP/CLIA Regulations andguidelines. Participates in scientific studies and activities supportingregistrational and nonregistrational clinical trials. Receives generalinstructions; plans and executes own work.
Responsibilities:
- Works under generalsupervision to support aspects of clinical testing and sample processingadhering to CAP/CLIA regulations and ISO 15189 guidelines.
- Performs highcomplexity testing within the CDx CAP/CLIA Laboratory. Monitorsperformance of IHC ISH molecular assays and immunoassays; assists with labfailure investigations and root cause analysis.
- Performs accessioning of biological samples (blood plasma tissue) and qualitycontrol of demographic data input. Communicates with clients on held andrejected samples.
- Performs work according to established internal safety guidelines andprocedures and as specified by appropriate regulatory agencies (SHE OSHA)
- Critically evaluated quality control and test results against acceptancecriteria to support clinical testing.
- Uses technical writing skills and Good Documentation Practices to complete labdocumentation SOPs and Quality documents.
- Participate in routine lab maintenance and lab safety inspections.
- May perform basic troubleshooting for issues related to instrumentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in related fields
- Experience working in alaboratory
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC) chromogenic insitu hybridization (ISH) histologylab experience (CAP/CLIA) immunoassays and molecular biology experience is aplus
