DBA

We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL DBA to manage and scale our missioncritical database infrastructure. With our rapid business growth we need a skilled professional to ensure the performance reliability and scalability of our PostgreSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize PostgreSQL 14 databases.
• Manage a multiterabyte PostgreSQL database running on physical hardware.
• Handle backups restores replication and disaster recovery strategies.
• Support and optimize complex database structures including triggers stored procedures and partitioning.
• Troubleshoot production performance issues quickly and effectively.
• Conduct performance tuning for a highOLTP transaction database handling 100M transactions per day.
• Set up monitoring and alerts for disk space CPU usage and IO contention.
• Ensure database security through rolebased and finegrained access control.
• Work with PostgreSQL operators on Kubernetes for database management.
• Take initiative in identifying and resolving database issues proactively.

Upcoming Projects

• Migrate PostgreSQL 14 to PostgreSQL 16.
• Transition onpremise PostgreSQL to AWS.
• Optimize and migrate large historical tables billions of rows through partitioning and purging.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive PostgreSQL administration experience (v14.
• Strong Linux expertise particularly Debian for production servers.
• Handson experience with performance tuning hightransaction OLTP databases and replication techniques.
• Advanced security knowledge and experience implementing access controls.
• Experience with Kubernetesbased PostgreSQL deployments.
• Selfmotivated problemsolver with the ability to take initiative.
