We are hiring a Clinical Optometrist join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a onetime nontreatment Veteran Disability Exam in Bowie MD.
- Employment Status: PartTime Independent Contractor
- Compensation: This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
- Schedule: Part Time Every Sunday of each week Clinic Hours are 8:00am6:00pm.

Requirements: The Clinical Optometrist must have and meet the following.
- Actively hold valid and unrestricted licensure as an Optometrist.
- Must be a qualified licensed Optometrists
- Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- All onsite staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
- Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.
Job Summary:
- Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide onetime nontreatment compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
- The Optometrist will capture responses during the exam through a webbased examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
- Comprehensive eye exam to evaluate for loss of vision glaucoma injury to the eye etc.
- Visual Field Testing may be required; equipment will be supplied.
