Job Description
About the job:
- Join a team of 8 other physicians 17 medical physicists and dosimetrists 7 RNs 1 NP 22 radiation techs
- Provide general radiation oncology services with the ability to develop subspecialty interests
- Participate in tumor boards at Rhode Island Miriam and Newport Hospitals (all located within 40 minutes of each other)
- Brown Academic appointment with the opportunity to teach residents medical students engineering students and medical physicists graduate students
- The center treats 2000 new patients annually
- Time is split .8 clinical and .2 protect research/admin time
- Our Brachytherapy Center is one of the busiest in the country
- Call is 1:9 week residents take first call
- Stateoftheart department with strong ties to engineering and public health schools
- This is a system wide program with a robust clinical trial portfolio and strong research administrative infrastructure
- This position is unable to support visa candidates at this time
