Job Description
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) is currently seeking an experienced Vintage World Coin Grader! Qualified candidates will display a high level of accuracy integrity selfmotivation and comfort working within a team environment. Selected candidates will sit alongside NGC graders and be trained in its grading and authentication methodologies.
Part of the Certified Collectibles Group (CCG) NGC is the industrys leading and largest thirdparty coin grading service. Since being founded in 1987 NGC has certified more than 55 million coins and is the official grading service of the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG) and the American Numismatic Association (ANA).
With offices in the US United Kingdom Germany Hong Kong and Shanghai and affiliated submission centers worldwide NGC is the nexus for international numismatics. Required knowledge and skills
- Minimum 5 years of technical numismatic knowledge and professional experience
- 4year college degree or work experience equivalent
- Ability to grade coins by using the Sheldon Coin Grading Scale
- Experience in variety attribution and authentication
- Knowledge of various eras of minting techniques metal alloys and numismatic bibliography
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business functions
