Overview

The Senior Information Security Engineer will play a critical role in safeguarding our digital assets systems and infrastructure. This position requires a handson professional with at least 5 years of experience in information security a passion for mentoring junior team members and the flexibility to adapt to the unique challenges of a small company. As a key member of our Blue Team you will help design implement and maintain security measures that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform handson activities to monitor detect investigate and respond to security incidents.
• Develop and implement security policies procedures and standards tailored to our business needs.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure secure coding practices and application security testing.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments penetration testing and risk assessments.
• Manage and enhance security tools such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems SIEMs and endpoint protection platforms.
• Oversee and manage the relationship with our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider to ensure effective threat detection and incident response capabilities.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior security team members to build their skills and confidence.
• Stay uptodate with emerging threats vulnerabilities and technologies to proactively address risks.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure secure configurations and operations of servers networks and applications.
• Support audits and compliance efforts by preparing documentation and evidence as needed.
• Contribute to incident response planning and tabletop exercises to strengthen organizational readiness.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of handson experience in information security roles.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF ISO 27001 and best practices.
• Proficiency in using and managing security tools and technologies (e.g. SIEM EDR IDS/IPS vulnerability scanners).
• Knowledge of secure application development threat modeling and code reviews.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols operating systems (Windows Linux) and cloud environments (e.g. AWS Azure).
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to handle highpressure situations with a cool head.
• Effective communication skills and a proven track record of mentoring and training team members.

• Relevant bachelors or masters degree are optional but preferred

Additional Details

• Salary commensurate with experience $105000 $145000 US Dollars) with biweekly pay via direct deposit. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Quorum Software reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications experience training work history and geographic location of the selected candidate.
• Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check Education Verification Employment Verification Drivers License Verification and Passport/ID validation.
• Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position. The successful candidate will be required to ensure they maintain and renew any visas or permits that grant employment eligibility where applicable.
