Job Summary
The Ready to Work (RTW) Program serve precollege college and postcollege students who are receiving Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (KTAP) benefits.
PRIOR TO APPLYING students must contact the Ready to Work Coordinator to determine eligibility.

Paid work experience on and off campus
Counseling advising and mentoring
Referrals to community resources
Job references and referrals
Job readiness life skills and academic success seminars
The workstudy component of Ready to Work provides work opportunities on both oncampus and offcampus through workstudy programs. Students in the programs gain work experience while earning that will not reduce their KTAP benefits. The placement of workstudy students with both private and nonprofit employers helps prepare them for the workplace by allowing them to gain work experience job retention skills and earn .
Job Duties:
Oncampus: working in student service offices labs and various other campus departments.
Offcampus: working in local elementary schools small businesses nonprofit businesses and various community service positions. All work assignments are aimed at the students area of study for onthejob experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for the Ready to Work Program students must be enrolled in school and receive KTAP benefits.
