Job Description
Labor One is hiring Journeyman Shipfitters in San Diego California.
Expected LongTerm Project
Competitive Pay
$160 per diem for those who are eligible
Housing Assistance
Job Requirements:
5 years of recent shipyard experience
Must be able to work any shift and overtime if required
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be DBIDS eligible
Must be able to pass a drug screen
Shipfitter Knowledge:
Welding tacking burning and scarfing
Must pass the following Shipfitter Welding Assessment:
FCAW
Fillet weld plates:
2F 3F 4F (VT test)
*Fillet testing shall take 12 hours
T Bar 12X4 3/8 thick:
2F 3F 4F (VT and Fracture test
*This takes average ship fitter of 12 days
Must comprehend written and verbal instructions (in English).
Must be able to hear warning signals and read and comprehend safety instructions regulations and warnings.
