Overview
We are hiring at UofL Health South Hospital
Location: 1903 W. Hebron Ln.
Shepherdsville KY 40165
Shift: PRN
About Us:
UofL Health is investing in the health of Bullitt County and the surrounding area with an expansion of UofL Health Medical Center South to become an inpatient hospital UofL Health South Hospital. South Hospital is expected to open in early 2024 and will add approximately 100000 square feet of new space to the existing facility. South Hospital will include a 10bed intensive care unit medical/surgical patient rooms six operating rooms new cardiac catheterization lab expanded emergency department centralized sterile processing area laboratory pharmacy cardiopulmonary respiratory therapy and more.

Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The paramedic is responsible for the delivery of care to assigned patients to include assessment implementation coordination teaching consulting and evaluation of patient care according to scope of practice. Enhances quality and professionalism of patient care practices attains knowledge and competency and participates in shared decision making.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a paramedic or 3 years of experience as a paramedic in a high volume patient care setting.
- Kentucky Emergency Medical TechnicianParamedic
- BLS ACLS PALS American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate of Science in Paramedicine or related healthcare degree from an accredited college
- Previous aeromedical KBEMS critical care endorsement or clinical ER experience
