Position Name: System Engineer Level IV
Location: Colorado Springs CO 80916
BESL is seeking a Systems Engineer (SE) in the Colorado Springs CO area contributing to a systems engineering team responsible for design and development of range operations systems. The requirement is to support system development efforts for the United States Space Forces National Space Test and Training Complex Electromagnetic (NSTTCE) program. The SE will support development of requirements documentation presentation materials and preliminary design efforts. The SE will develop cybersecurity administration equipment structure and execute integration into operations centers. The SE will also deliver cybersecurity monitoring into the operations centers common operating picture.
Position requires the following:
Experience with System Requirements Review (SRR) documents and material
Experience with prototype Preliminary Desing Review (PRR) documents and material
Familiarity with Cybersecurity Signal Processing and Radio Frequency hardware and theory
Experience with the full systems engineering lifecycle development and processes
o Requirements analysis design implementation and test
Familiar with JIRA or similar agile development methodology
Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) modeling (Use cases/Diagrams)
Experience in Test Readiness Review (TRR) and test reports
Experience supporting test plans test cases and test procedures
Understand and adhere to drawing requirements for production builds
Experience with COTS equipment and the identification of Form Fit Function replacements
DoD 8140 CWQP (Security) equivalent certification within 6 months of employment
Ability to travel up to 15 must possess or able to secure a valid passport
Must be able to achieve and maintain a DOD Security clearance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with DoD project delivery and space range operations
Experience with MBSE software or certification
Must be able to handle multiple processes
Experience with DevSecOps (CI/CD) methodology and tools
Experience with Digital Signal Processing Cybersecurity hardware and RF methodology
Basic understanding of space range operations systems
Education/Certifications:
Bachelors Degree in related field and minimum 4 years relevant experience or
Graduate Degree in related field and minimum 1 year relevant experience or equivalent
DoD 8140 CWQP (Security) equivalent certification within 6 months of employment
Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to achieve and maintain a DOD Security clearance.
