Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable individual to serve as both a Medical Assistant and Front Desk Coordinator. This dual role is vital to ensuring an exceptional patient experience by combining clinical support with administrative duties. Key Responsibilities:
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
Welcome patients into the clinical setting with professionalism and empathy.
Obtain urine specimens as appropriate or required for clinical evaluation.
Guide patients in completing necessary qualityoflife and health assessment forms.
Measure and record vital signs urinalysis perform medication reconciliation and document medical history updates.
Prepare and room patients for their visits ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to address patient needs including medication requests new referrals and followups.
Front Desk Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and facilitate a seamless checkin and checkout process.
Answer and manage incoming calls including scheduling appointments addressing patient inquiries and triaging calls based on urgency (e.g. clinical concerns pharmacy requests or referrals).
Facilitate and track medication authorizations and queue prescription refills as directed.
Verify and confirm patient insurance coverage and benefits.
Encourage and assist patients with selfregistration and selfcheckin to enhance the inoffice experience.
Serve as the first point of contact for referring providers pharmacies and other medical practices.
Team Collaboration and Additional Duties:
Rotate between clinical and front desk roles to maintain workflow balance.
Proactively assist other staff members during downtime to resolve patient issues and ensure smooth operations.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to process improvements that enhance patient care and office efficiency.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred with proficiency in both front desk and clinical tasks.

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic office software.
