National Grid is hiring a Lead Information Systems Auditorfor our IS Auditdepartment in Warwick UK.
Information systems auditors perform audits across the National Grid business. They provide independent assurance on the design and effectiveness of processes and controls that mitigate significant business risks related to information systems. Additionally they conduct audits on projects being run by National Grid that include an information systems change element to provide independent assurance on the design and effectiveness of processes and controls which mitigate significant project risk. They provide recommendations to drive effective and efficient controls and processes drawing on best practices to support the business in its focus on continuous improvement.
Deliver assigned programme of audits to quality standards and within allocated time using professional judgement to define the scope and testing approach to ensure key risks are addressed.
Attend relevant project meetings and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in between audits to enable risks to be identified.
Proactively look for areas of improvement during the audit process and provide value adding and insightful recommendations that address control and process opportunities and issues.
Independently produce high quality reports (e.g. Summary of Issues Draft and Final Audit Reports) that can be issued with minimal changes and reviews.
Manage cosource resources to maximise value for money for the Group and ensure proper communication with senior management.
Proactively maintain strong communication with the Head of Information Systems Audit to highlight issues and avoid surprises.
Provide technical expertise guidance and training on information systems and projects to the wider Corporate Audit team.
Develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders and maintain a thorough knowledge of the business IS and the regulatory environment.
Lead regular planning and risk review meetings with assigned stakeholders to share themes from audits completed across the organisation and understand evolving risks and challenges to inform future audit coverage.
Work with Digital Risk and Security to manage a portfolio of audit actions being worked on by IS and upon completion assess the effectiveness of activities undertaken to address the risks identified
Perform investigations and special projects for example in response to significant business events.
A degree level education in an information systems business administration accounting engineering or relevant field.
Professional certification or equivalent in relevant area (e.g. ACA CISA Chartered Engineering).
Project management qualification desirable (e.g. Prince 2.

A competitive salary between 50000.dependent on capability
As well as your base salary you will receive a bonus of up to 15 of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12.
