Clinical Lab Techsperform diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. They will perform a variety of routine and complex testing ranging from waived to high complexity testing in all sections of the laboratory including Hematology Chemistry Blood Bank and Microbiology. Clinical Lab Techs participate in patient testing quality control CAP surveys policy and procedure development and equipment maintenance.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Education:
Bachelors Degree required or in lieu of BA Degree HEW designation as technologist required.
Completion of Medical Technology Program preferred.
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
ASCP preferred.
Minimum Work Experience:
13 years experience working in a laboratory is strongly preferred
