Job Description

We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Business Office Manager to oversee the administrative activities of our senior living community. This fulltime position operates from 9am5pm. Reporting directly to the Administrator you will ensure that proper administrative procedures are maintained in compliance with all applicable Federal State and local standards guidelines and regulations.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associates degree in Accounting Healthcare Administration Business Management or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative supervisory role in a healthcare setting.

  • Fundamental knowledge of accounting principles .

  • Experience in collections and healthcare billing in skilled nursing or longterm care.

  • Experience with Medicaid billing .

  • Experience with Medicare A Medicare B and Insurance billing .

  • Experience with MDS coding .

  • Working understanding of New Hampshire Medicaid eligibility rules .

  • Knowledge of New Hampshire Medicaid including Case Mix Index scoring .

  • Strong decisionmaking skills.

  • Ability to read write speak and understand the English language.

  • Proficiency with office equipment including computers data entry and word processing.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact tactfully with personnel residents family members visitors and government agencies.

  • Must be able to work independently .

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Functions: Oversee business office operations including policies procedures and coordination with other departments.

  • Accounting Functions: Plan organize and direct accounting functions including financial records monthly statements and invoice management.

  • Personnel Functions: Assist with office staffing needs employee performance evaluations and training of administrative personnel.

  • Staff Development: Attend workshops and seminars to stay updated on longterm care regulations and maintain professional status.
