Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer or Engineering Technician/Technologist to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of postregistration experience and a keen interest in progressing towards a programme manager or project leader role. Responsibilities:
- Design develop and implement mechanical systems and solutions for various construction support projects.
- Provide technical support and expertise during the planning design and phases of projects.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other construction elements.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports proposals and documentation.
- Assist in project management tasks including budgeting scheduling and resource allocation.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in mechanical engineering practices within the company.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
- Engage in professional development and training to stay updated with industry advancements and trends.
- Work towards taking on programme manager or project leader responsibilities as part of career development.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer or Engineering Technician/Technologist.
- Minimum of 3 years of postregistration experience in mechanical engineering preferably within the construction support services sector.
- Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis software.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and standards.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning and management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to clearly convey technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
