Job Description
Desert Winds Hospital a leading healthcare provider specializing in mental health and wellness is currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an Inpatient Acute Psych Review Nurse. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the care and management of our inpatient psychiatric patients ensuring they receive the highest quality of care during their stay with us.
Location: Desert Winds Hospital
Shifts: Sunday Monday Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Position Type: FullTime
Department: Inpatient Psychiatric Unit
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of patient cases in the inpatient acute psychiatric unit.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay abreast of the latest practices in psychiatric nursing.
Requirements:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Previous experience in psychiatric nursing or a related field.
- Strong understanding of psychiatric conditions and treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced highstress environment.
