RUAG Space is the leading supplier of products for the space industry in Europe. Three product groups six countries one team: Electronics Spacecraft and Launchers are part of our product portfolio. This position is responsible for theProject Management of the RUAG Large Scale Composite structures development and recurring deliveries from RUAG Space USA.
Main Tasks:
Responsible for revenues costs planning and of a portion of $300M spacehardware production program with support from project functional team
Implementation and improvement of the project management processes according to company standards industry standards and personal ingenuity
Accountable for cost schedule and quality of the project
Regular reporting to customer and internal management at the executive levels
Steering of program risk management
Responsible for Continuous Improvement within the program
Implementation of mission specific customer needs and improvements
Responsible for Customer relationship management and long term trust
Maintain and cultivate a close business relationship with the functional leadership across RUAG
Contributes to negotiations regarding new statements of work
Requirements/Skill Set:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or similar Master degree preferred
PMP certification strongly preferred. PgMP certification is a bonus
13 years experience in project management
3 years experience in the aerospace/space industry
Experience managing a budget and/or profit/loss responsibility
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with ability to drive actions and initiatives outside the immediate responsibility circle
Used to working in a multicultural multidisciplinary environment with a great team spirit
Good experience of standard IT tools (MS Office) and Project IT tools (e.g. MS Project SAP)
Passionate about space business in general (launch systems in particular) and proactive mindset to solve issues related to business processes
