Requirements:
- Minimum of three 3 years of recent Phlebotomy experience.
- Ability to perform inpatient and outpatient phlebotomy including Emergency Department (ED) and STAT draws.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must meet all credentialing requirements and provide documentation of immunizations physical exams and tuberculosis screening (Two Step TST or Blood Assay).
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform patient phlebotomy including inpatient ward rounds emergency and timed draws.
- Execute sample processing and sendout preparation.
- Identify patients and samples prior to testing ensuring accuracy.
- Safeguard electronic and paper patient information.
- Independently evaluate and document patient testing and Quality Control (QC) procedures.
- Resolve any collection processing testing or reporting issues.
- Deliver patientcentered care in a professional manner to maintain high service standards.
