Finance Operations Duties - Post transactions in QuickBooks noting approvals correct accounts and classes
- Payables
- Post Deposits
- Print checks
- Payroll journal entries
- Prepare ACH payments for vendors
- Bank Reconciliations
- Prepare and post closed home entries
- Calculate discount mortgages for new homeowners using TValue software.
- Account Reconciliations (inventory closing costs mortgage investors etc).
- Maintain Land Database
- Add new land update costs entries to move land to homes reconcile with tax rolls
- Sales tax filing for ReStores
- Maintain Fixed Asset database and post monthly depreciation entries
- Updated discount mortgage values annually for mortgages owned by HFH.
- Scanning and Organizing
- Act as backup for the Accounts Payable position during absences
- Assist with endofyear duties and audit preparation.
- Assist with grant reporting and compliance special projects or research.
Necessary Personal/Professional Characteristics: - Strong Analytical Skills
- Successful multitasker
- Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish a plus
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Long periods sitting at a computer entering and analyzing data.
- Some tasks involve working with volunteers and staff.
- Understanding and appreciation of the mission of Habitat for Humanity
Position Requirements: - Knowledge of Mortgage/Accounting Policy and Procedures
- Knowledge of Computer Programs (Word Excel SharePoint Outlook)
- Knowledge of Accounting Programs (QuickBooks Enterprise a plus)
- Knowledge of Procore Construction software a plus
- Knowledge of Buildium Property Management software a plus
- Valid Florida Drivers License
- Acceptable Background check
- Florida Notary
