Senior Scientist Product Development

Job Description

In this role you will:

  • Working with the R&D project lead and Marketing team as well as Personal Care R&D develop learning plans and execute them as well as mentor other more junior scientists on the team

  • Lead the interaction with the Marketing team to ensure product design is meeting our concept and is on strategy

  • Champion the product design and learning plan for U by Kotex innovation programs

  • Champion claims substantiation and Benefits Visualization development to bring the innovation to life

  • Protect and defend KC proprietary product and technology through the appropriate use of patents and trade secrets

  • Document key learnings and significant research findings in a searchable retrievable format and coach junior team members in their documentation practices

  • Develop and leverage deep product expertise and leverage knowledge crossfunctionally to field questions for LCM DtV competitive claims etc

  • Make connections between projects and product learnings to solve complex complaint and manufacturing issues

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to more junior Product Developers on the team Interface effectively with the other work stream teams to ensure business success

  • Ensure all work complies with corporate safety regulatory product safety and sustainability requirements

Required:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

  • Broad experiences in product development

  • Experience in executing consumer or technical / scientific studies.

  • Proven track record of effectively communicating to and influencing leaders and team members across all levels of the R&D and crossfunctional organization.

  • Ability to provide work direction to team members not in a direct reporting relationship

  • 1525 incountry travel

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science related field

  • Experience in product development and launch of consumer packaged goods (CPG)

  • Experience leading both consumer and technical research studies

  • Experience leading product design changes

  • Work experience across a range of Research & Engineering disciplines

  • Strong understanding of AFC products brands business and technologies.

  • Strong mentorship skills

The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as location role skills performance and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.

KimberlyClark will support incountry relocation for the chosen candidate for the role. The benefits provided will be per the terms of KimberlyClarks applicable mobility policies.The benefits/policy provided will be decided at KimberlyClarks sole discretion.
