Dishwasher Part-Time Palm Beach County Convention Center

TheDishwasher is responsible for the sanitation of all kitchen equipment cooking utensils dishware glassware and silverware and disposal of trash. The Dishwasher is also responsible for the cleanliness of all back of house areas including sanitization and maintenence of equipment shelving tabletops floors walls and more.
Dishwashers will assist in pulling and staging all equipment prior to setup during the event and during cleanup. Dishwashers are expected to stay composed and flexible in a fastpaced environment demonstrating strong initiative and teamwork to ensure event success.

This role will pay an hourly wage range of $15 17.

The Palm Beach County Convention Center is a multipurpose facility in West Palm Beach Florida managed by the Oak View Group. The Center features a 100000 squarefoot exhibit hall a 22000 squarefoot ballroom and 21000 square feet of flexible meeting space as well as connecting to the 400room Hilton West Palm Beach

• Operate dish machine equipment & wash any items not dishwasher safe by hand.
• Ensures highest sanitation levels for all items previously used so that they may be used again in clean condition free of any contamination risk
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment utensils and dishes.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly storage areas for kitchen equipment and supplies.
• Place clean dishes utensils or equipment in proper storage areas
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as dishwashers garbage disposals and ovens.
• Assist on plateup food production line as needed
• Sort and remove trash or compost and clean after usage.
• Sweep and/or scrub all floors in the kitchen and back of house areas
• Clean up spills and/or breakage on the event and kitchen floors
• Ensures compliance with health sanitation safety and employment regulations in accordance with company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

• Ability to work weekdays and weekends with availability for some morning noon and evening shifts on an oncall/eventbased schedule.
• Must provide regular and consistent written availability to management.
• High School Diploma G.E.D. or related food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Card through ServeSafe and any other required compliance trainings.
• Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented fastpaced eventdriven environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact with employees management and guests in a professional and respectful manner.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects such as boxes and equipment.
