Job Summary:
The Logistics Manager is responsible for directing coordinating planning and overseeing tasks and operations within the organization involving logistics activities. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and effective logistics operations in our global Alltech Additives operations addressing specific challenges related to all logistics and supply functions.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Monitor costs service level agreements and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiency.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs
Manage relations with suppliers manufacturers and distributors to ensure the achievement of required service levels
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Lead and develop the logistics team with best in class processes
Lead mail room staff
Related duties as assigned within scope of practice
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages subordinate staff in the daytoday performance of their jobs.
Ensure project/department goals and/or milestones are met and adhering to approved budgets.
Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy and with support of Culture and Talent team.
Evaluates and advises on necessary expansion of team headcount and responsibilities
Oversee the training and development of team
Recommends promotion and/or role changes within department
Recommends and approves pay actions based on merit policy and competitive market.
Performance Metrics:
Cost reduction/efficiency gains in logistics operations
On time in full delivery rates
Customer satisfaction levels
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in business or related field (Masters preferred)
Minimum 6 years experience in transport or related area as an individual contributor
Minimum 57 years experience in a managerial or supervisory role
