What Youll Do
As aPastry Demi Chef de Partieat The Dorchester you will be part of a highly skilled pastry team delivering exquisite desserts and afternoon tea pastries that elevate the guest experience. Your role will focus on consistent preparation creative and maintaining the standards of one of Londons most iconic kitchens. In this role you will:
Assist in thedaytoday productionof the pastry section ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of all items.
Prepare pastries desserts and baked goods according toestablished recipes maintaining standards in portion size quality and consistency.
Contribute to the creation and presentation ofAfternoon Tea working at volume while preserving attention to detail and finesse.
Respond tospecial guest requests including bespoke items for dietary requirements offmenu creations and celebratory occasions.
Take initiative in your own development and showpatience and support in training junior team members setting an example of professionalism and care.
Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensuresmooth service timely plating and highlevel presentation across all pastry offerings.

What youll bring
Essential Skills and Experience
Previous experience in aprofessional pastry kitchen preferably within a luxury hotel or highend restaurant.
A strong foundation in pastry techniques and the ability to follow precise recipes and plating guides.
Ability to manage time effectively in ahighpressure environment delivering consistent results.
Enthusiasm forlearning improvement and contributingto a highperforming team.
Fluent inEnglish with the confidence to communicate clearly with colleagues across all levels.
Experience preparingAfternoon Teaor highvolume pastry service in a prestigious setting.
Familiarity with dietary considerations and the ability to adapt recipes as required.
Passion for presentation and akeen eye for detailin the visual of plated desserts.
Willingness to contribute ideas to seasonal menus and supportcontinuous innovationin the pastry section.
