The Wound Healing Center is an outpatient department that specializes in care of patients with acute and chronic wounds and ostomy care. The Wound Healing Centers mission is to provide a comprehensive costeffective approach to wound healing with a multispecialty team that provides for the accurate diagnosis appropriate treatment prevention/reoccurrence of wounds and the education of the patient and caregiver.

Basic UPH Performance Criteria
Education:
Graduate of accredited nursing program.
Experience:
One year of hospital clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency required.
Recent experience in the care of hospitalized adults preferred.
Previous experience in an outpatient clinic setting preferred.
Previous experience with wound care preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Licensec Practical Nurse (LPN) in Iowa.
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Mandatory Reporter certification or obtain both within three months from date of hire.
Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for workrelated reasons.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Writes reads comprehends and speaks fluent Engilsh language.
Basic computer knowledge using word processing spreadsheets email and web browser.
Multicultural sensitivity.
Critical thinking skills using independent judgement in making decisions.
Use of usual and customary equipment to perform essential functions of the position.
Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities/hospitals.
Full-Time
