Job Description Summary:

The purpose of this role is to provide for the care needs of patients undergoing a diagnostic radiologic procedure in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL). This role has limited responsibilities during complex interventional CCL procedures. This care member assists the procedural cardiologist with all aspects of radiology procedures as well as assisting in an aseptic manner with the intervention itself. The CCL Technologist works collaboratively with the CCL registered nurse each within his/her own level of licensure.

Job Requirements Prerequisites and Essential Functions:

EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA approved school or B.A. or A.A. degree in radiological technology.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory required.
Some experience performing complex interventional procedures in CCL preferred.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS


Basic Life Support Required at hire
Radiologic Technologist Required at hire
Radiology Fluoroscopy Required at hire
American Register of Rad Techs Required at hire
Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire

PREREQUISITE SKILLS
Must possess technical ability to perform all diagnostic procedures outlined in Department Procedure Manual. Extensive knowledge of radiographic coronary anatomy and physiology. Ability to adjust to rapidly changing technology. Must possess aboveaverage tact and ability to effectively work with patients physicians other hospital personnel and the public. Must be able to communicate and work effectively with patients who may be under emotional stress. Must be willing to participate in ongoing education programs through appropriate organizations such as ARRT or other local state or national organizations advocating continuing education. Works with minimal supervision.

The compensation for this role listed on this posting is in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidates compensation will be determined based on the individuals skills experience internal/market equity factors and qualifications. This posted minimum and maximum range represents the minimum and maximum of what we reasonably expect to compensate for the position. Furthermore all compensation decisions are ultimately determined in accordance with our compensation philosophy. Compensation for positions covered by collective bargaining agreements are governed by the agreements in the aforementioned document.
