Duties And Responsibilities
The duties below are representative of the duties of the classification and are not intended to cover all of the duties performed by the incumbent(s) of any particular position. The essential functions of this position include the following: 1. Teach a comprehensive introduction to nutrition course and assist in curriculum revisions and new course development. 2. Consult with students during regularly scheduled office hours. 3. Maintain expertise in current technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a Masters or above in nutrition dietetics or dietetics and food administration OR Bachelors in any of the above AND Masters or above in chemistry public health or family and consumer studies/home economics OR the equivalent (see below) NOTE : A Bachelors in nutrition dietetics or dietetics and food administration and certification as a registered dietitian is an alternative qualification for this discipline) Demonstrated cultural competence sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff
