Job Description
Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist (Grade 3 to join our team at St John of God Frankston Hospital on a maternity leave cover contract with the possibility of extension.
You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team providing advanced clinical Occupational Therapy services to clients with complex neurological needs in our outpatient department.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist you will demonstrate leadership in clinical practice and ensure that all care is delivered in accordance with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia Code of Ethics and St John of God Health Care (SJGHC) policies and guidelines.
The Position
Provides clinical services to client/patient groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced Occupational Therapy practice skills.
Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties. This requires liaison with the administration team reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation.
Patients/clients plans and outcomes are regularly monitored through attendance at and participation in clinical team meetings as required.
Active participation in the multidisciplinary team.
Referrals to external agencies are initiated in a timely manner.
Uses an evidencebased problem solving approach to clinical care and service development.
Promotes professional values and ethics in clinical practice.
Demonstrates consolidated current knowledge of research evidence based practice in Occupational Therapy and related clinical areas.
You will hold a registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist and will have current valid Drivers License.
To succeed you will have extensive and advanced clinical experience in Occupational Therapy across a range or within the relevant clinical specialty including in the management of complex patients within the relevant healthcare and disability service setting.

We can offer you
Salary: $114180 to $128196 per annum (pro rata if part time) plus 11.5 superannuation
Fixed term position available 0.9 to 1 FTE working hours can be discussed with successful candidate.
This position is a maternity leave cover with the possibility of extension.
