Interteks Building and Construction division is a suite of Intertek brands that are industry leaders across multiple architecture engineering and construction disciplines developing the most innovative product and project solutions. Interteks projectrelated assurance testing inspection and consulting services are the risk management and quality assurance partner you need to ensure the reliability safety and performance of your new developments existing assets and facilities. Interteks Building and Construction Field Testing group is primarily focused on building enclosure field testing for new construction and retrofit projects.
What are we looking for
As a Field Testing Technician you will assistwith field testing and building inspections. This position provides opportunity for growth and development within the department and company. This job requires travel most weeks Monday through Friday and a shared company vehicle or provided for work travel.
Shift/Schedule:Monday Friday with travel most weeks
What youll do:
- Field testing projects and building envelope testing as assigned
- Forensic investigations of building envelope failures
- Communicate with clients and project team regarding site observations test preparation procedures results and reporting matters Prepare and submit accurate and concise reports on all projects assigned
- Provide project coordination including planning scheduling and reporting
- Consistent and professional interaction and communication with clients and project team

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 6 months commercial construction and/or commercial or residential carpentry experience
- Experience working with elevated working platforms (ladders boomlifts roof levels etc)
- Ability to learn the building envelope including wall cladding systems curtain wall window and door systems waterproofing roofing etc. and their installation means and methods
- Working knowledge of test methods and standards associated with testing of these systems or the ability to learn and comprehend these standards
- Aptitude for working independently on assigned projects
- Technical competency and ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers both in writing and orally
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet changing priorities and strict deadlines
- Good computer skills Microsoft Office & Outlook
- Ability to routinely lift a minimum of 50 pounds climb stairs and ladders bend crawl push and pull as needed
- Willingness to travel 75 of the time or more
- Valid drivers license and reliable driving record (required)
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred

The base wage or salary range for this position is$22 to $42 per hour based on level of experience. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set experience qualifications and other jobrelated reasons.
