Job Summary
The diagnostic sonographer is a skilled person qualified by academic and clinical training to provide patient services using diagnostic ultrasound under the supervision of a physician responsible for the use and interpretation of ultrasound procedures. The sonographer may be involved with the patients of the physicians in any medical setting of which the physician is responsible.
Qualifications:
- 36 Months of Sonographer experience required (Acute care experience is not required)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days
- Certificate or Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound
- ARDMS registry or ARRT (S)
- Registered Vascular Specialist or Vascular Sonography or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
