Position: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Lenexa KS
Senior Electrical Engineer
GBA a professional full service architectural and engineering firm is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an Electrical Engineer position in our Life Sciences group in our Lenexa KS office. This group specializes in the work in the Pharma/BioPharma industry and serves many of the top companies as an integrated team of architects engineers commissioning specialists and project managers. At GBA youll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects from start to finish in a collaborative team environment with ample room for career growth and development. This role also offers the chance to contribute to the growth of the team by mentoring and teaching junior engineers fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and supporting the development of the next generation of engineering professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management of a multidiscipline team
- Financial management of project budgets
- Client Owner Contractor interface
- Electrical power systems design including switchboards generators ATSs and UPSs
- Power distribution medium and low voltages
- Arc flash coordination and short circuit studies
- Electrical load calculations
- Facility evaluations assessments engineering studies and trouble shooting
- Project QA/QC
- Oversight and expertise to provide direction for inexperienced staff
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer
- BS in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Must have a minimum of 8 years of related experience
- Familiarity with NEC requirements and other relevant codes and standards
- Proficiency in Revit is highly desired
- SKM or ETAP experience is beneficial
- Organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Interested in working in a collaborative team environment
- Interpersonal skills necessary to influence and communicate with a diverse group of clients and coworkers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software Word Excel Outlook
