How you will make an impact:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a motivated individual to fill a role as a Staff Engineer Electrical Systems. Being a part of the Singleuse division R&D team you will have the opportunity to engage in the development of equipment and systems used by the manufacturers of biologicalbased therapeutics and vaccines in the industry.
What you will do:
- Design development testing and implementation of systems and solutions based on requirements and objectives.
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams including software engineers hardware engineers and project managers to define system requirements and specifications.
- Conduct system analysis feasibility studies and risk assessments for successful integration and operation.
- Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain system architectures models and documentation.
- Lead all aspects of system testing verification and validation to ensure quality and performance standards.
How you will get here:
Education
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering mechanical engineering systems engineering or related field with 8 years experience or a masters degree with 6 years experience; of handson electrical system design product design product development and manufacturing experience.
Experience
- Strong experience in electrical system/hardware design
- Proven record handling vendors contract manufacturers and design firms.
- Value engineering process development shouldcost modeling experience DFA/DFM/DFx experience and PI&D drawing creation.
- Experience dealing with regulatory compliance of electromechanical devices by third party agencies.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Proficiency in PCBA and CAD Design software; Altium SolidWorks or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills customer relations and technical writing.
- Selfmotivated and can work within a global organization.
