This position is expected to begin in May or June and will continue through the 2025/2026 academic year. Interns must be enrolled in a Graduate (Masters) program for the full duration of the internship and may be asked to provide proof of enrollment at any time. Typically interns work parttime 1020 hours per week) during the academic term and may work fulltime 40 hours per week) during the summer and school breaks.
The Procurement and Payables Section is in the Executive department of King County government. It serves as a resource to the Countys departments and agencies in supporting the efficient sustainable and equitable sourcing of goods and services that help King County deliver vital public services that make the County a welcoming community where every person can thrive. It is also responsible for payment practices enhancing vendor experiences and driving innovations that meet the evolving needs of King County while ensuring the seamless delivery of services to residents.

Position Information:
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop. When working remotely employees must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours and follow FBODs Hybrid and Remote Guidelines including oncamera participation during virtual video meetings.King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely.
