Position at Putnam Hospital Center
Purpose: Following a medically prescribed physical therapy program this position evaluates treats and educates pediatric adolescent adult or geriatric patients who have disabilities traumatic injuries pain disease or any dysfunction. The Physical Therapist helps patients reach maximum performance and assume a place in their community.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited physical therapy school.
PREFER: Masters Degree or DPT Degree.
PREFER: One 1 year of workrelated experience.
PREFER: One to two 12 years experience with electronic medical record.
PREFER: One to two 12 experience in orthopedics neurological and vestibular disorders.
Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities Requirements:
Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
Willingness to extend self as needed to meet the needs of the patient and department.
Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy procedures and equipment allowing for safety and maximum patient benefits.
License Registration or Certification Requirements:
Active New York State Physical Therapist License or eligible with a temporary permit.
