Description of the role:
Tutor Doctor North County San Diego is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Tutor for World History and US History. As a Tutor you will be responsible for providing personalized academic support to students 1:1 in their homes assisting them in developing a strong understanding of historical events concepts and timelines. This is an excellent opportunity for those who have a deep understanding of history and enjoy sharing their knowledge with others.
Responsibilities:
Conduct oneonone tutoring sessions with students in World History and US History
Assess students knowledge gaps and develop customized lesson plans
Provide explanations examples and additional resources to enhance students understanding
Help students improve their critical thinking and analytical skills within the context of history
Track students progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians
Adapt tutoring techniques to meet individual student needs and learning styles
Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of World History and US History
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
3rd or 4th year college/university education toward a Bachelors degree in History or related field is a plus
Passion for education and helping students succeed
