Angott Search Group is partnering with a metro Detroit credit union to find an Accounting Manager to oversee daily operations maintain efficient office processes manage financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen and proficiency in financial software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily office operations and resource management.
- Prepare budgets payroll financial statements and Board Reports.
- Post and reconcile general ledger entries; perform monthend balancing.
- Manage investment portfolio and wire transfers.
- Supervise daily office balancing including Check 21 processes.
- Lead and support a team of three staff members.
- Maintain compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Assist in developing office policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of accounting experience in the financial industry.
- Knowledge of federal regulations including BSA Regulation E ACH Rules and NCUA guidelines.
- Strong organizational communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
