Job Summary
The role is responsible for managing the India government affairs team and providing guidance on research and analysis. The role drives the development and of comprehensive government affairs strategy represents the organization in diplomatic forums and building relationships with key governmental bodies. Leads HP Indias policy and advocacy strategy. Additionally the role consults senior executives on policy trends risks and opportunities while providing an oversight on strategic projects.
Responsibilities
Provides oversight to a team of government affairs professionals responsible for conducting comprehensive legislative proposal research and advocating for policy changes.
Drives the development and of comprehensive government affairs strategy aligned with the organizations objectives.
Represents the organization at critical meetings hearings and diplomatic forums advocating for policies aligned with organizational interests; builds relationships with toptier government officials legislators regulatory bodies and international governmental organizations.
Drives collaboration efforts with industry partners advocacy groups and stakeholders to build and lead coalitions on specific policy issues; cultivates develops and maintains collective influence to achieve shared policy goals.
Provides strategic guidance to senior executives on policy trends risks and leads on opportunities for proactive engagement; anticipates shifts in political dynamics and provides strategic advice.
Provides guidance on special projects of strategic importance to the company and executive leadership ensuring that project objectives are met efficiently and effectively; ensures all activities are conducted according to standards of business conduct.
Drives and oversees complex indepth policy research and analysis anticipating the impact of critical legislative and regulatory changes on the organization and industry.
Oversees operational success aligns strategies and integrates activities with major organizational functions.
Serves as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business while also developing organizational policies and authorizing their implementation.
Education & Experience Recommended
Fouryear or Graduate Degree in Law Public Policy Business Administration or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 12 years of jobrelated and/or management experience preferably in government affairs public policy or a related field.
