Job Description
Shipfitter Leadman
A Shipfitter Working Leaderman is responsible for directing his/her workforce in the successful fitting of all structural components of assigned vessels.
The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of craftspecific experience performing fitting of structural functions and be able to interpret standard construction drawings. Should have basic knowledge of fitting specific processes and techniques in addition to being familiar with standard marine practices and general specifications for construction. Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with other supervisors. Also must have a strong focus on quality production safety and environmental aspects of work being performed.
