Job Description
The Volunteer Coordinator will:
- Plan and supervise delivery of all volunteer services.
- Partner with all office staff in coordinating and supervising administrative volunteer services.
- Assess and monitor a recordkeeping system which includes services delivered and actual time involved.
- Recruit interview and select volunteers.
- Design and supervise the orientation and training of volunteers.
- Facilitate and support volunteer retention activities.
- Monitor and evaluate volunteers performance.
- Assure volunteers compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation (COPs).
- Stay current with federal and state volunteer rules and regulations.
- Plan and coordinate volunteer support meetings.
- Together with entire office staff answer phones greet visitors and generate correspondence as necessary for
office needs.
The Volunteer Coordinator must:
- Provide excellent customer service and quality hospice care with focus on coordination and delivery of volunteer services.
- Have a Four 4 year college degree.
- Demonstrated record of strong interpersonal skills goal achievement successfully taking on more responsibility with positive results and ambition to grow
- Prior health care home care and recruiting experience a plus.
- Ability to read write and effectively communicate in English.
