Job Description
Line of Business: Aggregates
Heidelberg Materials is one of the worlds largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9000 employees.
What Youll Be Doing
- Sample onsite aggregate products at various production stages daily following an established testing frequency schedule.
- Test aggregate samples according to specifications and set testing standards.
- Clean maintain and calibrate testing tools and equipment.
- Record and report test results to operators and mine manager throughout the day and send detailed reports to the Quality team at days end.
- Collaborate with production personnel to evaluate and resolve quality issues
What Are We Looking For
- Ability to work safely independently and with integrity without constant supervision.
- Strong problemsolving and math skills with competency in computer applications and Microsoft Office suite.
- Effective communication skills ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn through onthejob training video and reading materials and work cooperatively as part of a production team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred with applicable postsecondary education ACI certification and experience in quality control manufacturing or production being an asset. Some mechanical experience is a plus.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to postoffer preemployment physical examination drug/alcohol screen and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment inclement weather heat cold humidity and elevated noise level.
- Must be in good physical condition and have the physical ability to climb stoop bend squat lift (up to 75lbs. sit and stand for extended periods of time kneel climb ladders and walk on varied terrain.
