Job Description
I am looking for 23 offshore mechanics will to work a 14/14 rotation :
Engine knowledge required (some but not all) Waukesha Caterpillar Cooper slow speed or ariel packages.
Troubleshoot engines and compressors.
Complete field repairs
Service maintain and test engine shutdowns.
Ability to do a complete in frame overhaul and complete rebuilds.Not always necessary
Diesel Engine or pump repairs a plus.
Promote good Housekeeping and safe work practices.
Slow Speed Work
Must have a good basic understanding of internal combustion engines. Preferably natural gas engines.
A good understanding of ignition and control systems is a plus.
Be able to effectively use Micrometers for measuring clearances and tolerances.
Be able to work with a team safely and efficiently around large heavy engine and compressor components.
Be willing to work away from home for sometimes weeks at a time.
Be able to work as directed and follow the instructions of a lead technician.
