Salary:$16.19 $17.81 per hour dependent on education and experience. Employee will regularly work 27.5 hours per week.

Job Summary
Reporting to the VP & AVP of Economic and Workforce Development the Administrative Assistant serves as the initial contact for the VP & AVP and Economic and Workforce Development offices. They perform administrative duties as needed for both offices and support efforts and initiatives handled by the VPs office.
Job Duties
Answer the telephone take messages and route to appropriate persons.
Process mail both incoming and outgoing and route as appropriate.
Assist with coordinating the preparation and logistics for the VP & AVP committee meetings and general meetings by preparing and distributing meeting agendas attending and documenting minutes.
Aid with extensive scheduling coordination and documentation of college committees and advisory councils under the VP & AVP purview.
Assist with the coordination and preparation of the VP & AVPs external committees and appointments.
Type proofread and distribute correspondence purchase requisitions forms reports and other documents.
Support efforts and initiatives handled by the Economic and Workforce Development Office.
Assist with planning and preparations for all VP and AVP offices travel conference activities workshops and tours. Coordinate and plan special college events hosted by the President.
Assist in maintaining and coordinating the VP & AVP calendars and travel schedule including the VP & AVPs monthly mileage log for reporting purposes.
Assist in processing purchase orders and requisitions.
Order supplies and publications.
Receive and respond to requests for speaking engagements telephone inquiries and incoming mail.
Assist in the collection organization verification and interpretation of information for various reports and projects.
Assist the VP and AVP in various capacities as liaison with potential and current students faculty administrators and outside clients and constituents as well.
Assist in maintaining confidential office filing and records management system.
Assist when needed in the Study Center and as a test proctor.
Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution and 1 year of administrative assistant clerical or customer service experience OR high school diploma and two years of administrative assistant clerical or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Event planning experience
Conversational ability or fluency in a second language
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Employee is expected to engage in continuing education to keep current in technology office management techniques and organizational skills.
